Dr. Erica Harlec
Dr. Erica Harlec graduated from Cornell University’s Veterinary school, and loves working in general practice. She has an interest in geriatric medicine and dental care. Dr. Harlec enjoys rock climbing with her husband and children and spending time with their rescues; a Lab mix named Summer and a cute NVH-adopted cat Huck.
Dr. Jami Landry
Dr. Jami Landry graduated from Cornell University’s Veterinary school after many years of working as a licensed veterinary technician. Dr. Landry has a special interest in exotic animal medicine, wildlife, ultrasound and surgery. When she’s not at work she enjoys helping stray and zoo animals abroad with her non-profit FARVets and running any mountains she can find with her husband Mikhail and three rescue dogs; Freybug, Rossytsa and Blitzen. She is also mom to a bearded dragon; Falcor, russian tortoise; Chamomile, ball python; Monty and two chinchillas; Cobweb and Moth.
Dr. Nicole Toso
Dr. Nicole Toso graduated from Ross university school of Veterinary Medicine and did her clinical rotations at Cornell university. She has a special interest in surgery, but enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine! She enjoys playing video games and spending time with her boyfriend, her dog Zoey, and her cat Albus.
Dr Carolyn Steinbeiser
Dr Carolyn Steinbeiser originally from New Hampshire, did her undergrad and tech school at Becker College (Worcester, MA) and worked as a Veterinary Technician in MA then vet school at St. George’s University in Grenada and Clinical year at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Special veterinary interests include: Wildlife and exotic companion animal medicine, surgery and clinical nutrition. Outside of work she enjoys: Traveling, SCUBA diving, cooking and hiking with my dogs. Animals include two Grenadian pothounds, Matilda and Puffin, a cat named Mush and a Turtle named Brick.
Dr. Ruby Turner
Dr. Ruby Turner graduated from Ross University and completed her clinical rotations at Purdue University. She enjoys working in general practice but has a special place in her heart for shelter animals. When not at the clinic she enjoys reading and spending time with her two Kittitian kitties, Maxible and Lena, her partner and his cat Fox.
Donna majored in environmental science at Nassau Community College. She has worked in the Veterinary Health field for over 26 years. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her husband, their horse and mischievous cat.
Kim moved here from Texas and majored in wildlife ecology at LSU. She joined the ACVH team in February 2013. Kim enjoys the outdoors, playing the violin and spending time with her kitties & dog Zoey.
Reception & Veterinary Technician Assistants
Mike has been with us since August 2003 when he was hired as a kennel assistant. Since then, he has earned B.B.A. in Veterinary Technology Management from SUNY Delhi and now is a Manager at NVH.
Melissa has been part of the ACVH team since May 2006. Her love of animals makes this an ideal job for her. Melissa shares her life with her husband, Jimmy, their German Shepherd Raine and their four cats, Joy, Angus, Sophie & Lou – E. Other than working, Melissa also enjoys hiking, camping and snowmobiling.
